SERVICE NEWSLETTER
1. PLANNING INFORMATION
A. SB EFFECTIVITY
Aircraft affected:
MODEL SN
EMBRAER 190 ECJ 19000243.
In-production effectivity:
The subject presented in this bulletin does not affect any in-production aircraft.
B. CONCURRENT REQUIREMENTS
C. REASON
(1) HISTORY
The Takeoff (T/O) and landing operations at high altitude airports require an
appropriate altitude pressure switch. The current altitude pressure switch detects a
cabin altitude between 14,000 and 14,750 ft. Then, during operation at 14,000 ft ,
this current altitude pressure switch commands an undesired Passenger (PAX)
Oxygen (OXY) masks deployment. The proper altitude pressure switch in this
condition commands the deployment between 14,400 and 15,000 ft.
(2) OBJECTIVE
To replace the current altitude pressure switch that actuates between 14,000 and
14,750 ft with new one that actuates between 14,400 and 15,000 ft.
None.
D. DESCRIPTION
The modification presented herein consists of replacing the current altitude pressure
switch PN 4421003-001 with new one PN P24099, and modifying the electrical
connection of the altitude pressure switch connector.
To do this, it is necessary to gain access to the work area in the Forward (FWD) Avionics
(AV) Compartment (COMPT) Right-Hand (RH) side through door 123BL.
NOTE: The modification presented in this bulletin does not affect the Fatigue
Critical Structure (FCS).
E. COMPLIANCE
F. APPROVAL
The technical aspects of this Service Bulletin are approved by: Agência Nacional de
Aviação Civil (ANAC).
G. ESTIMATED MANPOWER
This estimate is for direct labor only, performed by experienced personnel, and does not
include the time to plan, prepare, or inspect the work.
It is assumed that all the tools, parts, and other means are readily available when
necessary.
This estimate does not include the sealant, paint, or adhesive curing time.
