creation of digital health passports, with the launch of its VeriFLY product. VeriFLY is the
smarter digital health passport that allows a real-time verification of COVID-related
credentials, such as health questionnaires and diagnostic lab test results, right on your
smartphone.

centers in Ireland, Serbia, the United States, and Australia. Company headquarters are

Teams

Engineering teams are defined per product development, currently in the Belgrade office
they have 3 teams working on Digital Onboarding, Authentication and VeriFLY. They also
have a DevOps team and a Research team.

The company's growth plan for the next year is to hire 22 staff in Serbia in the coming
few months.

Working conditions:
● Full-time Work contract
● Salaries are paid by the last working day of each month
● Based on company performance bonuses may exist at end of the year

Details about the role

Role: Javascript Engineer


Preferred number of years of experience: 3+
Reporting to: Software Engineering Manager

As the Javascript Engineer, you will be working on Daon’s flagship product - IdentityX.
This person will join the product development team which is responsible for evolving the
product and integrating new biometric technologies as they become available.

This is a great opportunity to work with a skilled team on an exciting and rapidly growing
in-house project.
You will be a great fit if you have the flexibility and desire to learn new technologies and
have a strong knowledge of app deployment capabilities; You strive to improve
capabilities, pick up and champion new technology and programming languages, apply
best software development practices, look to add value and innovate.

This position offers the opportunity to advance to Team Lead Position.

There are currently 5 team members in the working team that this person will join. Two of
them are back-end developers, and two are manual testers. Their seniority is Mid to
Senior. Besides communicating directly with their team internally, this person will also
collaborate with other teams.

The working methodology they use in this team is Scrum.

Challenges that a person in this position will face are complex problem-solving working
with biometric authentication and matching.

Key responsibilities:

● the development, maintenance, and improvement of Daon’s Digital Onboarding


platform's web applications and JS SDKs

● collaboration with DevOps and backend teams to synchronize priorities and


deliver an updated version of the product

The ideal candidate:


● Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in Front-end Engineer roles or similar
● Has exceptional knowledge of Vanilla Javascript
● Understands various JS frameworks (Angular and React are preferred)
● Must have a desire to learn new skills and keep up to date with advances in
development tools and frameworks.
● Has undertaken serious projects during their career
● Has solid knowledge of build tools, e.g. DevOps tools, such as Jenkins and other
tools are a plus
● Is familiar with TypeScript and JavaScript Canvas
● Expertise with a variety of testing tools
● Strong understanding of CI/CD processes
● The ability to work at all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle
● Is familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies
● Able to work independently and as a member of a team
● Excellent verbal and written English

Nice to have skills and experiences for this position:

● Excellent knowledge of HTML5 & CSS3

● Work experience with RESTful service

● A strong understanding of RESTful Web Services design and consumption
