FREQUENCY
: words used to describe the frequency of an action or a
phenomenon.
 Always (selalu) : to describe a phenomenon that happens
all the time. Example : I always eat breakfast before
going to school.
 Often (kerap) : to describe a phenomenon that happens
repetitively but not as much as ‘always’. Example : I
often play sports at the field in the evening.
 Sometimes ( kadang-kadang ) : to describe a
phenomenon that happens lesser than “often”. Example :
Sometimes, Ahmad sleeps in the evening.
 Seldom (jarang) : to describe a phenomenon that is rarely
happens. Example : Zamrol seldomly stays awake in
class.
 Never (tak pernah) : to describe something that is never
happens. Example : I never eat sambal belacan because I
am allergic to it.
INTENSIFIERS
Words used to describe the degree of strength in a phenomenon.
1. Absolutely (sepenuhnya, sungguh) : to describe a whole
level of a phenomenon : I absolutely love chocolate.
2. Completely (seluruhnya, semua) to describe a
phenomenon in matter of quantity : After the bombing,
the city was destroyed completely.
3. Extremely (sangat, sangat tahap tertinggi) : to describe a
phenomenon at the highest degree : I extremely hate
salted egg as it gets me vomit.
4. Highly (secara tinggi) : to describe a doing that has high
level of intensity : I highly recommend this product to
you.
5. Really : I really hate anchovies.
6. Too (terlampau) : to describe a doing or a phenomenon
that exceeded a certain limit : He ate too much last night,
and now he is sick at home.
7. Very : I like you very much.
