Hamlet Essay – 2022

Individually or in pairs, choose one of the following essay questions:

1) Is there a moment in the play when Hamlet should act? Why does he not then? Use specific
examples from the play in your answer.

2) Does the Queen ever understand what Claudius has done? Does she ever suspect him? Use the
end of the play in your examples.

3) Who would you consider to be the hero of the play? Or are there only villains? Why?

Write an essay of 500-600 words.

Remember to use quotes and direct examples from the play in your essay. These do not require APA
referencing. If you choose to use outside sources, then they will need to be referenced correctly.

Remember also that any plagiarism will result in a 1.0.
