D-Insights, The MIS and Analytics Club of IMI Kolkata aims at serving the purpose of both learning
and implementing technical and analytical skills in Business Management. The club helps students
achieve their corporate goals in the area of analytics and business intelligence.

The objective of the club can be summarized as follows:

• Dissipating analytical knowledge and innovative business acumen for students

• Organizing Guest Lectures on Analytics/ Business Intelligence with discussion on state-of-

the-art techniques

• Equip students with tools to collate, organize, and draw valuable inferences

• Provide students with information about the latest methods or techniques to approach
various real-life complicated problems

The club also focuses and emphasize in-depth usage of analytical approaches, mathematical
methods, and statistical tools for students.

D-Insights hosts various events both inter-college and intra-college to engage students through
interactive competitions and knowledge sharing activities. The flagship event of this club is DISSECT,
which comes up with different variations of events during the entire academic year.
