School principals ' perceptions of cyberbullying and its relationship to the level of

academic achievement among ninth-grade students in the Emirate of Sharjah

Name of the researcher: Noura Al-Shehhi

The problem of the study:

Through daily educational practices, the problem of cyberbullying emerged among students, as
a consequence of the Ministry of Education providing each student with a tablet without
continuous supervision, this conduced to the misuse of the tablets , and some students do
virtual writing through some of websites about several topics that blackmail the school
community in general, especially among ninth grade students, and by extrapolating the
psychological and educational literature, we find that most of the studies that dealt with
adolescence described it as a critical stage, where the teenager is characterized by the
aggressive behavior, impulsiveness, and facility of excitement.

relationship to the level of academic achievement in the ninth grade, in addition to the extent to
which their behavior is affected as a result of external influences, represented in the interaction
included in cyberbullying, which is almost a common phenomenon in most schools in the
country.

four school principals (two male schools and two female schools).
