Reflection 15

This meeting is my group's turn to present our experience during teaching practice. Here are
some of the things we shared in our presentation:

Our plan of instruction:

● Making a child-friendly environment

● Implementing physical activities

● Utilising digital media

● Employing learning materials in a form of story text, video, and song.

● Consisting of fun activities and simple-instructions

Interesting findings:

● The students' English skills were much better than we expected.

● Their problems were mainly related to "confidence' to perform or show their English
skills

● As we taught 4 classes, we came to know that each class has its own characteristic.
Thus, we needed a different approach to each class.

● Students were more excited to memorize the text and do reading aloud

Improvement should be made:

● Classroom management

● Students must be guided face-to-face in practicing the gesturing project.

● Using another assessment tool that has more features

● Teachers' technological skills

Changes for better instruction:

● We have to adjust the learning material with the time allocation and prioritizing

learning activities that must be done first.

● We have to add ice-breaking directly in the lesson plan.

● Guiding students with gesturing projects comprehensively outside the formal class

hour
