Gojek

PT Aplikasi Karya Anak Bangsa (Gojek). Gojek Phenomenon in Indonesia make a lot of
changes to people's daily life. Gojek's presence provides a solution by providing many
services what society needs, such as online motorcycle taxi services, food purchases,
delivery, massage service, house cleaning service, and various other service facilities that can
help what society needs, especially in transportation availability problems to support public
activities. (Lazuardi & Sukoco, 2019)

Nadiem Anwar Makarim. For him, Jakarta is not a foreign city because he spent his
childhood and adolescence in Jakarta so Nadiem knows very well that Jakarta has super
heavy traffic, especially during peak hours. The transportation that many residents of the
capital use to break through congestion is motorcycle taxis, including Nadiem. Although he
uses motorcycle taxis, he is also disappointed with motorcycle taxis. The reason is there are
several problems faced ranging from prices and the frequent disappearance of motorcycle taxi
drivers when needed. According to him, this is a problem that must be found a solution, so
Gojek was born.

Gojek is a company from Indonesia that serves transportation through taxi services. The
company was founded in 2010 in Jakarta by Nadiem Anwar Makarim. Gojek services
available in the Greater Jakarta area, Bali, Bandung, Surabaya, Makassar, Medan,
Palembang, Semarang, Malang, Yogyakarta, Balikpapan and Manado (Ii, 2001).

The main reason why many people use online motorcycle taxi services is because the price is
fairly cheap.

How Gojek works, first of all, consumers can place a Gojek order through the application by
entering the pick-up address and the address to drop off. After processing, the request is
transferred to the Gojek server. Gojek's server system receives a request message (restourant
address, food or drink ordered and destination address). Then, calculate the cost of the order
and travel based on the distance traveled. Then, a response (cost details) from the Gojek
server is sent to the user via the web service. (Nurul et al., 2021)
