(A) Arrival and Dismissal
Arrival
All students are advised to be in school by 7.15am so that they can settle down and be ready to learn
when lessons start. Students will be considered late if they arrive in school after 7.30am or when the
school gate closes.
Dismissal
All students will be dismissed according to the staggered timing and at the different dismissal venues
listed below.
Drop Off
Please drop off your child at the designated vehicle drop-off point in front of the school. We seek your
co-operation to prepare your child/ward to alight from the car quickly to avoid holding up incoming
traffic, especially between 7.15am to 7.30am.
We would like to remind you that the school gate will be closed at 7.30am promptly during the National
Anthem and Pledge taking ceremony every morning. All students are encouraged to be punctual for
school daily.
Pick Up
The school gate will be closed to all vehicles during dismissal time from 1.10pm to 1.45pm (on Monday
to Thursday) and 12.50pm to 1.30pm (on Friday). Please adjust the time to pick up your child/ward
accordingly.
(B) Safety Measures for Covid-19
It is important for Lakeside to continue to be vigilant to ensure that school remains a safe place for our
students to learn and play.
No Situation What to Do
1 Child is feeling unwell ▪ Inform the teacher that child is unwell.
▪ Child should stay at home and not come to school.
▪ Bring child to see a doctor, if necessary.
▪ Child can return to school when he/she is well.
2 Child is tested positive ▪ Inform the teacher that child is tested positive for Covid so that
for Covid the teacher can advise you on what to do.
▪ Child should stay at home and not come to school.
▪ Bring child to see a doctor, if necessary.
▪ Follow the MOH National protocol:
o Isolate child for 72h (3 days)
o Do an ART test on Day 4
▪ If result is negative, and child is well, he/she can
return to school
▪ If result is still positive, continue to stay at home
until result is negative
▪ On Day 8, if child is well, he/she can return to
school regardless of whether the result is
positive or negative.
3 Sibling(s) or household ▪ Inform the teacher that child’s sibling(s) or household member(s)
member(s) is tested is tested positive for Covid.

o Do an ART test daily for 5 days starting from the first day
of close contact
o Test should be done in the morning before coming to
school or the night before (preferably from 8pm)
o If result is negative, and child is well, he/she can come to
school.

As part of emergency preparedness, the Temperature-taking Exercise is conducted in all primary schools
twice a year.
The first one will take place on 11 Jan (Wed). The teachers will do a thermometer check on 6 Jan (Fri).
