HEALTH & SAFETY First!!!
-Help stop the spread of COVID-19, practise healthy habits. Stay home if you are not feeling well.
-Help us improve pedestrian safety. When driving your child to school, drop them off at the curb on Heather Road
and obey all traffic bylaws especially, no stopping, no parking and the pedestrian crosswalk signal.

Absences and Lates PLEASE NOTE!

• If you know in advance that your
child will be absent, please call 416-
396-6570
• Students who arrive after 9:00am or
after (12:30pm or 1:00pm) will be
marked late.
• If you don’t call us, our automated
attendance system will call you!
Lunch
• There are two lunch periods this year.
Lunch 1 is 11:30am to 12:30pm and
Lunch 2 is 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
• All students remain on school
property during this time.
• All students must complete a Lunch
Permission Form. Students wishing to
go home for lunch must go home for
the entire year.
• Students who stay for lunch must
bring a lunch. There is no cafeteria
service this year.
Help Stop the Spread of COVID-19
• Screen your child daily for
symptoms of COVID-19
• Stay home if you are not
feeling well
• Wear a proper fitting mask
• Keep your distance: stay 2m
apart from others and do
not gather in groups
• Clean your hands frequently
for 20 seconds
• Cover your cough
• Avoid touching your face
• School Day The school day begins at 9:00am. The
school yard is supervised by staff at 8:45a.m.; do not drop
your child off before 8:45am unless they are participating
in a teacher supervised activity. Classes end at 3:08pm.
After school, staff supervision is from 3:08pm – 3:23pm
Unless students are under direct supervision of a teacher,
students must leave school property immediately after
dismissal.
• Communication Between Home and School
Please check your child’s agenda daily for homework and
communication from your child’s teachers.
• Office phones Please make arrangements with your
children in advance. The office phone is for emergency
use only.
• Money & Valuables Money and valuables are the
responsibility of the individual and must be kept safe by
the individual.
• Daily Physical Activity (DPA) Students will
participate in DPA for at least 20 minutes per day.
• Snack Program The snack program will be offered to
all students daily beginning in October. To properly fund
and run this vital program, we request that all families
contribute $25 (October to December).
• Bring your own device: Students may bring their
cellphones to schools and as well as their own laptop.
Cellphones and devices may only be used with the
teacher’s permission during instructional time.
School Agenda: Students will receive their school
agenda in October. The Sheppard East Village BIA provided
our school with a donation to reduce the cost of the agenda
for each student.
