APPLICATION FOR CTS EDUCATION AWARDS 2023

Greetings from Chettiars’ Temple Society (CTS)

CTS has been managing two Hindu temples in Singapore namely Sri
Thendayuthapani Temple (@ Tank Road) and Sri Layan Sithi Vinayagar Temple (@
Keong Saik Road) for over 100 years. Spanning beyond the religious functions, CTS
embodies excellence in giving back to the community.

2 One such community initiative undertaken by CTS is the annual disbursement of

CTS Education Awards whereby scholarships and bursaries are awarded to deserving
students from primary till university levels. While scholarship awards recognize the
excellence attained by students in their studies, bursary awards aim to alleviate the
financial burden of needy students. In addition, an additional award is given to students
who have scored the highest possible grade in Tamil Language.

3 Both awards are given to only Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents who
are full-time students. Applicants can submit their application online and mail the
supporting documents by 30 November 2022. Only complete applications will be
assessed by the review committee.

4 Applicants can submit their online applications via the following links.

Upon submission of the online form, applicants should mail the supporting documents
to the Temple General Office as stated in the Checklist at www.sttemple.com.

5 The list of supporting documents required are as follows:

• Checklist Form with Acknowledgement

• Photocopy of Applicant’s Birth Certificate / NRIC (Front and Back)[i]
• Photocopy of Applicant’s Bank Passbook / Statement
• Latest Examination Result Slip[ii]
• Photocopy of Birth Certificate / NRIC (Front and Back) of all family members (for
bursary only)
• Payslip / CPF Contribution Statement (Last 3 Months) of all family members (for
bursary only)
6 The award quantum is as follows:

7 Only successful applicants will be notified via e-mail. The organizing committee
reserves the right to amend any of the terms & conditions. The selection committee’s
decision on any matters related to the award is final and no correspondence in this
regard will be entertained.
