Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic condition facing the world has forced the adaptation of new
changes in various sectors including the education sector, especially health. The educational
process must continue to run conducive without reducing and eliminating the learning
objectives. Online or online tutoring is a learning system that utilizes internet network
facilities for online interactive delivery. This study describes the effectiveness of online-
based learning on students' ability to understand lecture material. The purpose of this study is
to provide an overview of the level of student understanding in accepting online learning.
This research method searches for related articles from Pubmed Embase, and Google Scholar.
The results of this study indicate that as many as 62.5% of the journals that we can state that
the effectiveness of the level of student understanding on the online learning system in
accepting learning states that the online system is not effective, this is very likely to happen
because this learning process is a learning process. transition from face-to-face learning,
students are accustomed to taking part in face-to-face learning with easier communication
with the lecturer as a facilitator. While online learning requires students to change the pattern
of learning understanding and as many as 37.5% of journals say that online learning is quite
effective/very good because learning is very flexible when using it. so it can be concluded
that continuous online learning during this pandemic is very ineffective, although there are
some who say it is effective, but it is more dominant that this online learning system is
ineffective.
