Guideline for structuring the Journal Article

The authors need to adhere to the following guidelines while preparing their journal article
with the intention to submit it to the Economic Journal of Nepal (EJoN).
General Guidelines for writing the Journal Article
 Research and analytical Articles and Book Reviews are welcome. Papers submitted to the
journal should be in English.
 The submission of an article to this journal assumes that the article has not been published
and has not been submitted elsewhere for publication.
 The length of the article should not exceed 6000 words, excluding tables, annexes, footnotes,
endnotes, and references. The paper must be in a word file, 12-point font in Times New
Roman, 1.5 spaced with a one-inch margin on all sides.
 The manuscript should be clearly written and carefully proofread.
 The manuscript should be accompanied by an abstract (see below).
 The author can submit the article either in a virus-free CD or by email to the Editor-in-chief
at cedecon.journal@cdec.tu.edu.np. Each submission should also include a brief note about
the author(s), including name(s) and complete mailing address, the institution where he/she
belongs, his/her position in the institution, email, and telephone number. The subject line in
an email should mention “Article submission” if the author wishes to submit the article by
email.
 The EJoN follows a policy of peer review.
 The opinions expressed in the articles are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect
the views of the editor(s) or the publisher.
 Articles are accepted on the understanding that they are subject to editorial changes and
revisions.
 Mathematical and other formulas and symbols should be clearly typed. Diagrams/figures
should be clearly drawn on a separate page(s). All they should be in edited form.
 References of the paper and citations in the main text should be complete and accurate. Both
the references and citations should be as per the latest version of the American Psychological
Association (APA) style.
 A complete list of End Notes numbered serially may be given at the bottom of the paper.
 Books for review: One copy of each book should be sent for review to the Editor-in-chief as a
complimentary copy. The EJoNwill assess the quality, content, and relevancy of the book sent
for review and will decide about its acceptance for publication. EJoN will ensure to inform
the publisher/author about its decision. However, EJoNtakes no upfront guarantee to publish
the review of all books sent for review. One copy of the journal will be sent to the publisher
or author if the book review is published.
The manuscript should be structured in the following sequence/order: Following
headings/sub-headings/placement order are recommended to make sure that EJoN receives
the articles with minimum merits to consider for review and publication. However, the
author(s) may consider the sequence/placement of particular sub-headings as appropriate
and contextual while ensuring our minimum requirements.
