2. Untuk makluman pihak YBrs. Dr./tuan/puan, Islamic Educational, Scientific

and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) adalah sebuah jalinan kerjasama antara negara-
negara anggota Pertubuhan Persidangan Islam (OIC) yang bertujuan untuk
meningkatkan persefahaman dan kerjasama dalam bidang pendidikan, sains dan
kebudayaan. Malaysia merupakan negara anggota ISESCO dan Kementerian
Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) bertindak sebagai National Point ofContact bagi ISESCO
di Malaysia.

3, Turut dimaklumkan, ISESCO Center for Promotion of Scientific Research

(ICPSR) merupakan sebuah organ khas di bawah ISESCO yang bermatlamat untuk
menyokong dan meningkatkan kegiatan serta kemajuan negara-negara anggota
dalam bidang penyelidikan sains dan teknologi. Di antara inisiatif ICPSR ialah
pemberian oeran penvelidikan sebanvak USD10.000 baai tempoh dug tahun kepada
para penvelidik muda vana berumur di bawah 40 tahun findividu/kumpulan) di negara-
negara anggota untuk menjalankan penyelidikan dalam bidang-bidang berikut:

Kementerian YBrs. Dr./tuan/puan. Maklumat lanjut mengenai tawaran geran

two years It will be appreciated if yon kindly armouhce theee Research Grants to
research universities, research centers, councils, as well^a centers: of excellence_and
other research institutes, in your esteemed country which may benefit from fnge
Research Grants. tfhe researchers will be required, to submit their projecta en the

• Applications should be clearly filled outand signed.
. Requests for grants are restricted to the fields of Nanotechnology, Health Blotechno ogy,
Information and Communication technologies, Agricultural Biotechnology,
Engineering Sciences, Biological Sciences, Frontier Areas of Science and
Technology, Medicinal Plants, Applied Sciences.
• Deadlines for receipt of applications are 31 July and 31 January of each year.
• Applicants will be notified within three to four months after each deadline.
Applications should be sent- by post, fax or e-mail and it must be completed and signed before
