    HIGH ALERT DRUGS

    Maximum of 80units per 24hours.


    1.OXYTOCIN
    Avoid undiluted rapid I.V infusion.

    2.MISOPROSTAL Maximum of 800-1000 micrograms.

    Maximum of 1mg(5 doses in 24hrs)


    3.METHYLERGOMETRINE Contraindicated in asthmatics and intramuscular
    injections.

    Maximum total dose 2mg (8 doses).


    4.15-methyl PGF2α
    (CARBOPROST) Contraindicated in asthmatics and intramuscular
    injections.

    5.DINOPROSTONE (PROSTIN E2) Contraindicated in hypertensive patients.
