The Chairman,
Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad.
The land of present-day Pakistan, having thousands of years of ancient history, has
been blessed with a priceless treasure in the form of historical sites, which by paving the
way for religious tourism, can not only rid us of foreign debt, but also strengthen our
national economy. Such hidden architectural wonders and unique sites are silent witnesses
of our glorious past and rich heritage.
Pakistan Hindu Council, acknowledging the dynamic role of higher education for
national development, is looking forward to join hands with the HEC to highlight and
showcase the historical sacred buildings of non-Muslim minority religions including Hindu,
Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian communities, under the said photo contest, which
is open to all Pakistani citizens. (Press Clippings are enclosed for your kind review).
It is therefore requested that the HEC may please encourage all worthy Vice
Chancellors / Rectors / Heads of HEIs belonging to public / private sectors to ask their
students for actively participation in the photo contest latest by January 31, 2023.
