Siddhagiri Matha is a 1500 years old institution. Following its long tradition to work
for the overall development of society, recently Matha has joined hands to promote the
ancient Indian concept of Panch Mahabhoot. A campaign on this theme has been started by
Shri Bhaiyyaji Joshi of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. This campaign aims to present an
Indian response to the threat of Climate change which is causing a lot of anxiety all over the
world.

In this regard, Matha has planned a Panchmahabhoot Mahotsav in Kolhapur from the
20th to the 26th of February 2023. Through this event, an attempt will be made to present the
Indian culture and knowledge tradition in front of the country and the world in such a lucid
manner that the philosophy of Panch Maha Bhoot becomes very much actionable. We also
want to build an ecosystem where the theme of Panch Mahabhoot becomes the rallying point
to fight environmental imbalances.

The message of this lokotsav will go a long way. Therefore, it is my humble request
that please grace this occasion on any date (20-26 February 2023) at your convenience.
