Ecology is the study of the interactions with the environment.

With our planet experiencing ever changing weather being harsher than ever before
it is clear that we are doing something wrong and we need to change our ways. Fish
are much harder to come by because of the polluted waters and waters became unsafe
to drink. Food poisoning and illness are rampant from contaminated foods. The heat
is getting more and more unbearable with the smoked filled air.
Republic Act 9003 ecological solid waste management act of 2000 the law ensures
proper segregation, collection, storage, treatment and disposal of solid waste
through the formulation and adaptation of best eco-waste products. Republic Act
9275 Philippine clean water act of 2004 the law aims to protect the country's water
bodies from pollution from land-based sources. Republic Act 8749 Philippine clean
air act of 1999 the law aims to achieve and maintain clean air that meets the
national air quality guideline values for criteria pollutants, throughout the
Philippines, while minimizing the possible associated impacts to the economy.
Our solid wastes are being dumped on landfill sites to avoid food poisoning where
it should be disposed accordingly depending on the type of waste it is. As much as
possible recycling should be a priority and for non recyclable waste should not
seep through the soil and to the bodies of water to avoid contamination.
Effluents or waste discharges should first be treated before it is released into
the water system or else it would turn our potable water sources to unsafe drinking
water otherwise. Greenhouse gases which are carbon dioxide from burning things to
the black smokes from your vehicles. We should change our means of transportation
to lessen our carbon footprint like using bicycles and other alternatives like
electricity driven vehicles for a change which are much safer for the environment.
Ozone depleting substances such as carbon monoxide from aerosols that are
pesticides and cooling agents from your air conditioner and refrigerators are
damaging our ozone layer to avoid this we should use organic based insecticides and
use electric fan instead for air circulation.
We should be more aware of what our actions may bring in the long run not just for
the benefit that we may experience today. Everything that we experienced is the
result of our actions, it reflects the way we treat our environment. So we should
take care of our nature in everything we do considering how your action will affect
the environment and changing for the better.
