Dear MS Noki

LETTER OF APPEAL FOR HOSTEL ACCOMODATION

I am a second-year law student who applied for hostel accommodation on the 30 th of October 2019,
but it appears that there may have been a broken chain somewhere in the system. I make the above
comment because this year during registration, I got feedback that I have not applied for hostel,
which is quite the contrary, because I actually did apply and it has been clearly stated clearly in black
and white in the attached documents. The necessity for me to be in hostel is weighty, very critical
and beyond my control. I believe that I should be awarded the privilege to be in hostel for the
following reasons;

 I do not have a place to call, home in Windhoek, I am from Ongwediva and only in Windhoek
in search for education.
 My father is the only job holder and cannot afford to have my brother (also a student at
NUST) and I in a safe environment.
 I have five siblings and we all depend on one person at home, my father.
 My biological mother leaves in Windhoek but she is unemployed, and was asked to evict the
premises by her landlord
 My parents have been separated for as long as I can remember, since I was four years old.
 Therefore, hostel would be my safe place away from home, where I can study peacefully and
get over my depression.
 Being in hostel would help improve my class attendance and have a better understanding of
everything in class, there would be no excuse for me to not be in class.
 I am a performer, I try my best to be extraordinary at school, and being in a great working
space this year would tremendously increase my performance, kindly see attached progress
report
 Finally, I am a positive soul, the appeal committee would not regret its decision of accepting
me into the hostel.

I will be patiently looking forward to your positive response. Kindly see attached documents.
Yours sincerely
