MSP-16, MSP-32 Hardware Manual V1.10

1. Overview
MSP-16 and MSP-32 boards are designed to collect the calls coming from landings for the systems which have 16 floors or
less. Also, they are designed for the control of call leds, displays (direction, floor number information).
The landing calls are controlled in MSP-16 board up to 16 floors with single button, and up to 9 floors with double button. The
landing calls are controlled in MSP-32 board up to 16 floors with double button.
These boards communicate with ARL-700 controller board over Canbus line, then all these functions are controlled by
ARL700.

• Down/Up direction arrow outputs
• Out of service display output
• 16pcs. call inputs and led outputs on MSP-16 board (16 floors single button, up to 9 floors double button up&down

2. Technical Parameters
2.1. Display Outputs
It is possible to get 7-Segment, Gray and Binary code outputs from display outputs. The necessary adjust is performed by using
the dipswitches on the board. When the display with Gray or Binary code output and common anode 7-Segment outputs are
used, the necessary connections must be done as shown in the following figures. The outputs are short-circuit protected.

2.2. Call Inputs

There exist 16 pcs call inputs on MSP-16 and 32 pcs call inputs on MSP-32 board. The call button inputs, led outputs and
buzzer output (BP) when the call is detected connections of boards must be connected as shown in the figure below. All led
outputs are short-circuit protected.

2.3. Down-Up Direction Arrow and Out of Service Outputs

The outputs are preferable as + and – switching. It is possible to use it in different ways via jumper on board. The jumper
position depending on the different usage is shown in the following figure. These outputs are over-current protected.
