I saw a Hollywood movie where the good guy came under fire. He took cover behind a
trash can. A plastic trash can. It showed the bad guys shooting the front of the trash
can full of holes while he stayed safely hidden behind it.

2. Explainhow can Cover and Concealment strategy be used in real-life

situations at its maximum effectivity.
COVER

o Prevents the attacker from being aware of your presence;

o Must be thick or strong enough to stop what is being shot at
you;
o Most modern construction materials and home and office
furnishings are not strong enough to stop modern
ammunition; and

CONCEALMENT

o Prevents the attacker from being aware of your presence;

o Does not protect you from incoming fire;
o Should be used as a way to get to cover; and
o Move quickly or slowly as appropriate.
