PRELIMINARY

A. Background

In the educational context, instructional models have passed through

different revolutionary changes. Each dedign gives way to another. As a result of

the constant changes and innovations in paradigms of language teaching

methodology, there emerged several types of instructiona design, such as the

structural design, the topic-based design, the task-based design, the

communicative design etc. Each of these instrcutional design has viewed language

as focusing on certain aspects of language materials designed in certain quality

and quantity to serve the main premises of the paradigm it represents.

B. Formulation

From the background above, you can know the formulation of the problem

as follows:

1) What’s the outcomes require in instruction?

2) what the form of role of it?

3) How the way on how to developing it

C. Purpose

Based on the formulation of the problem above, can be known the purpose of

making this paper is as follows:

1) Understanding the outcomes require in instruction

2) comphrehending the form of role of it

3) understanding the way on how to developing it

D. Benefit

The author can add to the treasury or new knowledge, especially about

kind of instructional design as well as adding references or insights both for

writers and readers. As for the benefits of making this paper, in order to provide

knowledge about the instruction, function and its role in educational structure, and

so that it can add to the reader’s understanding of design.
