Why does the future not need us?

1. Can robotics replace human in the future in terms of providing service in the future?
- A robot can replace humans in a workplace where programmed memory, ultrahigh-speed,
rigorous accuracy, literal precision, and quick work service are required. In certain jobs,
technical pieces of equipment did replace humans in agriculture, construction industries for
basics. But robots can never replace humans solely. Humans are the most innovative
irreplaceable creatures because of their creative thinking, curiosity, decisiveness, flexibility,
liveliness, sensuality, and intellect. These traits made humans dominant over all power domains
of the world.
2. What aspects of service is critical for human to execute and should not be relied on robotics?
- In a service business the atmosphere, the attitude and the feelings that are part of the whole
experience are critical aspects of the service. At a restaurant, restaurant operations are often
focused on efficiency but people’s smiles and kind words and thoughtfulness in how service is
provided makes a big positive difference in the experience that robots can’t do because they
don’t have emotions like humans.
3. What is the human's responsibility in the acceptance of the use of artificial intelligence in the
society?
- Skill Up, Don’t Dumb Down. We should resist the temptation to let humans dumb down.
“There is the argument that we don’t need advanced math and science in schools. And there’s
the suggestion that you don’t actually need to learn a discipline, or any hard content, because
all the information you could ever need is available on line. And Siri or Alexa can find it on your
behalf. I strongly disagree. The evidence suggests that workers will need to make their niche in
a fluid and unpredictable environment. That suggests to me that we need to be more capable
— not less. So we have to grab them young and keep them going. Then they can enter the
artificial intelligence age with the capacity to hold their own. So skill up, don’t dumb down.”
