The world we known nowadays is continuously shifting rapidly that we are more

likely unable to keep up with, from the dawn of the civilization, human has nonstop
developing, learning new skills, creating new inventions to help our lives easier. The
latest invention is being better than the previous invention and the track keeps going, but
there must be an end to the track, our inventions must always stop at some point. And one
of the last inventions that we ever needed might be AI, the super intellectual system.
The evolution from apes to humans is not that significantly large. It just a difference
in the scale of brain size and a few other changes in physical appearances. What matters
the most is how we think and learn, from basic activity to complex activity which is
needed to conclude many skills.
One of the most significant changes in history is the creation of AI. From basic
command in a box that needed to be guild and only able to come out as a single result. To
machine learning that can learn new things and give various results that some humans
can’t even think of.
But the truth is there is some feature that the machine can’t math humans yet in some
way because the complexity in the human cortex is still more significant than what we
have built in the machine. But what if the machine can reach the same level as humans?
As AI experts stated, AI can reach human-level intelligence in 40-100 years. And that
leads to the fact that AI might be the last invention that humans ever have to make.
Physically saying, a human can’t outmatch machines in the field of learning and thinking
system. For example, the human brain is limited in size but a computer can have the size
of a warehouse or even bigger. The data transfer speed in the human brain is 100meter
per second and now data transfer in a machine has reached the speed of light.
The level of intelligence is commonly rated from low to smart, and the fact is
intelligence varies. For example, if comparing in a scale of intelligence of less smart to
smart we shall have rats, dogs, apes, less intelligent human, the smart human then
geniuses like Albert Einstein. But the fact with AI is they don’t stop learning and
improving, they just need time, effort, and investment and they don’t have any limit of
developing, unlike a human. That leads to the fact that one day, they shall go beyond the
scale of existing intelligence, goes far beyond geniuses that we known and even after that
they even go further.
The scale of intelligence can also be the scale of power, related to the previous
example, apes will be stronger than rats and they can do anything with them, then smart
people are greater than the less intelligent human. This leads to the fact that when AI has
reached the highest peak of intelligence, it shall decide what we can do and shape the
world that we are living in. And as AI could be the last invention that we made, it will
later be more creative than us, they shall be better at designing, inventing new
technologies, learning, and so on.
A common vision about AI that is seen in the paper article, movies, forums that AI
might eventually be the one that controls the earth, not human. It was one of the worst
scenarios that could happen in the field of developing AI, that may seem scientifically
similar to movies but it could be true if the correct situation is met. On the other hand, AI
could be the dawn of a new civilization in human history that opens new possibilities that
humans can only dream of in sci-fi movies. At this point, AI can be considered as one of
the most powerful optimization processes which enhance all the possibilities of humanity.
So the means of using and creating an optimization process system is to be able to create
complex and suitable conditions for a goal that you wish the system shall meet. For
example, a poor condition is King Midas, who wishes everything he touches shall turn to
gold because of greed, and the result turns out simply as he said which doesn’t satisfy him
and cost him numerous of misfortune. The same can go for superintelligence, if we stated
a simple goal and not include specific condition and guidance for the superintelligence to
further process, they shall do what they think that might be the best solution for the result
and the process of that solution that unliked or even harm us. Indeed, AI is fully cable of
shaping human society in many ways, but the fact that we can also shape them from the
beginning since we are their creator.
AI can be useful and disastrous at the same time, we are the creator of AI but that
doesn’t mean that we should be overconfident that we can control it or contain it when it
goes off the track. We are unable to contain or lock them down, shut them off completely
since whichever method we are using there would be a bug and since AI is more
intelligent than we are so they are most likely to find the bug. The only possible way for
this situation is to find out a way to build AI that even when they went out of the track
they are still safe for human because in the beginning they are always on the humanity
side and have the value as we do and most importantly, cares what we care about, what
we truly want. Furthermore, we are not necessary of writing down a long list or code a
long program of what we needed and care about and our values, with the development of
AI, its more fundamental to build a system that can understand us, able learn, know and
distinct what we want and don’t want and be able to execute in the most proper way.
 In a conclusion, AI can either be good or bad, they can either manipulate or helps
humans, be it the dawn of a new age or the end of civilization. They shall be better, faster,
and much more intelligent than us, but we are their creator and we had the power to shape
them so they will be optimized to help us shape the world we are living in with the most
optimized process.
