SECTION B: Answer Any Four questions. Each question is worth 20 marks.

a) A full wave bridge rectifier with 120Vrms sinusoidal input has a load resistor of 10KΩ.
i. If a silicon diode are employed what is the voltage Vp (out) available at the load?
ii. Determine the PIV rating of each diode
iii. Find the maximum current through each diode during conduction
iv. Sketch the direction of conduct current in the circuit below.

b) Use an opamp to design a summing amplifier circuit that will average four inputs
voltages (Vin1 = 10V, Vin2= 7V Vin3= 12V and Vin4= 5V). Use input resistance of 4KΩ
each and determine the output.
