Mathematics Month Celebration, January 5- 28, 2022

Theme: Thriving Mathematics in the New Normal: Turning Challenges into Opportunities of
Learning and Enjoyment
The opening of the activity was held on January 5 Wednesday, via Facebook StreamYard at
exactly 10 of the clock in the morning. The program starts with the Opening prayer led by
Hazel C. Baligod grade 2 teacher, followed by the National Anthem sung by Allan T. Hermo,
grade 6 teacher. The celebration starts with the inspirational messages coming from our
Dearest principal Ms. Dancel A. Udquim, PSDS Fe B. Bele and our hardworking Mathematics
Education Program Supervisor Dr. Remylinda T. Soriano. The Avelinians support the
Celebration by watching the program live on Facebook. Mr. Mark Anthony B. Manalad
formally launches the opening of the mathematics month celebration with the theme:
“Thriving Mathematics in the New Normal; Turning Challenges into Opportunities of
Learning and Enjoyment.” With the help of Mathematics teachers from kindergarten to grade
6 this opening program will be the beginning of success upon celebrating mathematics month.
On January 12 is when the contest for all kinder to grade 6 learners of Librada Avelino
Elementary School was held. For kinder we have Coloring Contest and the judges are Mrs.
Lorelyn C. Atenta MT I, Emelyn D. Torida, and Rustine Kate C. Diaz, for grade 1 and grade 2
we have Drawing Contest judged by Mrs. Arlene L. Recaña MT I, Val Cedrick S. Sempio,
Hazel C. Baligod, and Jenifer Visande, followed by Dance Video Challenge for grade 3 and
the judges are Mrs. Monette B. Gania MT I, Gerardo L. Poldo, and Cristine Joy E. Juayong,
next is the Slogan Making Contest for grade 4 judged by Mrs. Rebecca R. Legaspi MT II,
Presiosa C. Sadiaza, and Ruby B. Almario, then Poster Making Contest for all grade 5 judged
by Mrs. Herminia G. Castillo MT II, Pilipino G. Banario, and Romcel H. Enrique. For grade 6
we have an Essay Writing Contest judged by our respective principal Ms. Dancel A. Udquim,
Kathlene B. Galletes, and Darlene Hazel E. Balagtas. At the end of the program all winners
received the soft copy of their certificate for them to feel proud and appreciated. All teachers
in the Librada community are proud and happy to the participations, efforts, and achievements
of their students.
January 28, 2022 Friday at exactly 1:00 in the afternoon, this is the most awaited event of
Librada Avelino Elementary School and we gathered via Facebook StreamYard. To starts our
closing celebration Mrs. Hazel C. Baligod led the prayer, followed by Mr. Allan T. Hermo
who sung the Nationalistic song entitled “Ang Bayan Ko”, and to inspire us we have Ms.
Dancel A. Udquim our beloved principal, Fe Bele PSDS, Dr. Remylinda T. Soriano
Mathematics Program Education Supervisor who gives heartwarming messages. To welcome
all the students, teachers, and parent Ms. Maritoni G. Roque joyfully greeted them and led the
opening remarks. Mr. Mark Anthony B. Manalad MT I and our Mathematics Coordinator
share information and knowledge about Math ACES, M-Konsultasyon, and MATHdali sa
Laes. These are the new school offered programs which implemented to reach out those
novices who encounter difficulties in learning Mathematics subjects. To make the virtual
program happy and interactive Mrs. Arlene L. Recaña MT I prepare series of games. All
learners from kindergarten to grade 6 are actively participated. Winners received gifts as their
reward for being active and to recognize their participations. Teachers and parents are happy
and show their supports to all learners. Lastly Mr. Gerardo L. Poldo gives his closing remarks
that encourages the students to be passionate in achieving their dreams in life.
This successful yet memorable program serves as the quality of education in Librada Avelino
Elementary School. It proves that there is no hindrance for the school to pursue education
even in these trying times of pandemic. Truly that no one can stop the goal of every passionate
educator to their beloved students. Their hearts and eagerness to contribute build up a
harmony in which every school management must have. Truly that unity brings good quality
to the product. All of these become possible because of the participation and contributions of
each member of the Mathematics faculty in Librada Avelino Elementary School. Those values
are the key characteristics that we have to gain the success and overcome in enjoyable yet full
of learning in celebrating Mathematics Month.
