My first week was so great. I was assigned at Accounting Section at Department of Agrarian Reform Provincial Office-Sarangani Province. My first day was
the best because they explained the nature of work in their section. It was not that hard since accounting is my passion. I carried the task that was given to me
easily since I was already oriented. Recording journal entries in an actual work was easy unlike in class (partly). Since I am that shy type person, adjusting in the
workplace for me can require a bit of time but I can assure that I will achieve that comfortable and light workplace along with my senior co-workers and my
supervisor.
The only obstacle so far that I have encountered was that I lost sight with the recording of ORS number in the disbursement voucher to the point that I
skipped recording one spot and the moment I knew I consulted my senior co-worker and so we adjusted the ORS numbers based on what has been recorded and
put on the disbursement voucher. So far it was not that serious of a problem. I will assure that I will do my best to work better and harder next week. That’s it for
this week.

This week has been great and satisfying. I get to know my seniors well and the line of work that we are specializing. For this week, I am happy that I get to
do two different tasks. The first task that I’ve been instructed to do since the first week was filling out disbursement voucher and recording them into the accounting
section’s incoming logbook and when it was already checked by the accountant and are ready to be disbursed, I will record them into the accounting section’s
outgoing logbook. The second task that I have been instructed to do is encoding debit transactions and checks issued into the subsidiary ledger. I already
encoded the data for the month of January and February.
I never encountered any problem when dealing with my tasks this week since it is easy to do and I have been instructed to all the things that I needed to
do. The only issue that I have this week is that when I look at the monitor for too long, I tend to develop such headache since I was not really accustomed to be in
front of the any gadgets for hours straight. Since I was instructed to take breaks from time to time, whenever I feel that there’s a need to take breaks then I take
breaks to be able for my eyes to relax. That’s all for this week.

I enjoyed the task this week. Even though I was instructed to only do the encoding of checks issued and debit transactions into the subsidiary ledger, there’s
really that instances that they made me do different tasks aside from encoding the aforementioned data and I was so happy because they made me do tasks like I
was also a staff of the accounting section. They give me tasks without hesitation and I am glad to be able to do it accordingly as what I was instructed.

I did not encounter any problems as of this week. This week feels like so light. I get to laugh and tell stories with my senior co-workers as well as with my
supervisor and I felt I belong now unlike the prior 2 weeks where I was still adjusting. After work (we were dismissed early), we also had karaoke session with my
fellow interns and the other personnel from different sections and it was so fun. I do hope that working for the next weeks will be still like this week. That’s all for
this week.

I love this week. Everything feels so great from working up until the way how my senior co-workers and my supervisor interact with me. I felt like I belong
now to the group. My supervisor even told me jokingly about what should he give me this coming December as a gift which my senior co-workers jokingly said that
I deserve a t-shirt. Though it was only a joke but I felt really comfortable being able to witness how the mood in the workplace can be much comfortable. Other
than that, we also had Zumba every week which I forgot to state from previous weeks and I like dancing along with the music together with my co-interns and
senior co-workers from different departments coming from Support to Operation’s Division (STOD). We even had karaoke session during one time when the power
was out in the whole office and that moment, I knew that I really enjoyed the company of the different people in this agency. All I can say is I am so grateful to be
one of the interns at Department of Agrarian Reform Provincial Office Sarangani.
I didn’t encounter any problems as of this week. The work was smooth. I enjoyed working and it feels like I was playing to the point that I enjoy it really well.
That’s it for this week.

Comments (describe obstacles & solutions)

This week was great. It is Halloween and some of the employees are on leave so that means there are less employees who are present and it’s a bit silent
in our workplace. However, the staffs in the Accounting Section are all present so I guess it’s still not that silent in our section since our section consist of funny
people especially Ma’am Ellen who makes jokes all the time. I get to do the encoding as well as filling out disbursement vouchers and doing journal entries and I
get to do another task which makes me more excited because I was able to use calculator for computing numbers. Who wouldn’t get excited when computing
numbers in the calculator? Right?
We encountered problem this week. However, it’s not my sole mistake because it was made my Ma’am Ellen and she politely told me that she maid
mistake. That mistake was about the cancelled checks that we have issued to suppliers. The checks were cancelled and we need to re-issue it for this month. I
was tasked to re-record it to our incoming and outgoing logbook and changed the DV numbers so that it will be okay to be re-issued without any problems. So far it
was not that major problem since it was resolved and did not took up too much time to do since we only get to solve it within 30 minutes. That’s it for this week.

This week feels great. It’s been my 6 th week and I am almost halfway of finishing my internship. It feels great but sad for I have grown quite a liking to the
working environment. All the people are kind, funny and approachable. They made me feel belonged. We never even felt any uncomfortable feeling, well it’s
understandable during the first day or week but the thought is we never did during the second week.

I/we never encountered any problems this week. I enjoyed all of the gatherings especially birthdays and Zumba sessions because through those, we enjoy
being as one. I enjoyed associating myself with these people. I hope when I work in the near future, I want them to be my co-workers again. That’s it for this week.

This week is already my 7th week and I am really halfway in finishing my internship. This week has been okay but not like the past weeks because there’s
not much people in the office because majority of them are in Special Orders’ or in Seminars. The only person whose left was me and Ma’am Ellen which makes it
not so boring type of a scenario since we two are in vibe and she’s fun to be with. Since Christmas season is really near, we decorated the office and it was fun
since I love decorations and I love decorating. This week hasn’t been much going on. I didn’t encounter any problems or obstacles since I am quite skilled with the
nature of work already and I really feel like I can join them in function since I was taught well about the needed things to be done in our department. That’s it for
this week.

Comments (describe obstacles & solutions)

This week was a blast. I get to learn on how to do an Electronic New Government Accounting System (ENGAS). Just a brief discussion about ENGAS, it is
a type of accounting system where every accounting transaction has been encoded through a system or program for easy and convenient tracking of transactions
of government documents and for transparency purposes also. As a digital native myself, I can attest that using technology in storing accounting records are the
best since it has a lot of advantages like saving more papers. The transition from traditional recording and storing of accounting documents to new electronic
accounting system is better and I love it. As usual, I never encountered any obstacles or problems since I learn well and comprehend well to what they instructed
me and I never forget to ask whenever things are new to me or confusing. That’s it for this week.

This has been my 9th week. Then again, I was introduced to another task and my supervisor is the one who instructed me to do it. I was tasked to encode or
transfer the encoded data from the subsidiary ledger (which I was the one who did the job of course) into the payment of index. It was a long process of work that
needs a deliberate attention. My head almost run wild this week because I was really focused to the monitor of the laptop which made my eyes sore and my mind
tired. Imagine sitting all day repeating the same task the whole week. On the other hand, even though it made my head go crazy for the repetitive action, I still
enjoyed the task though because it made me improve my focus to certain things that needs to be done immediately. All in all, the experience was so good.

This week has been the busiest week of all. Christmas is approaching and so year-end parties too. I had done many tasks this week which is very
satisfying. So far, my stay in the company/agency has been so good that is why ever since taking up my current course, I have decided to work (in the future) in a
government agency because I kind of looking the satisfaction of giving service back to the community.
We felt really belonged and privileged as interns because we get to be involved with the activities and treated as employees. That’s one thing that I liked
about−being treated as one of them not as student who needs utmost supervision. We get to attend their year end party and we enjoyed it so much. That’s it for
this week.

This week has been the usual week for me. It’s not too busy and most of the employees are on leave for the preparation of Christmas so the office seemed
empty. I just did the usual task that my supervisor and senior co-workers instructed me to do. So far, I am satisfied with everything in this environment. I am glad
that I get to share moments with every employee here whenever there is a spare time to discuss about life and the best part is that they also validate my feelings
as a person and not as a kid. They treat me as a close friend and I that’s one thing that I loved about the people here.

I never encountered any problem this week and I am glad that I get to show my skills and the things I learned at school. That’s it for this week.

It’s the last 6 days of my internship and I can’t believe that it’s nearing its end, that I get to finish my internship. Since new year is approaching, my
supervisor and senior co-worker told me to go a way faster than the usual with the eNGAS since they were told the deadline for it and the region really needed it
and so I tried my best to go as fast as the usual with all my might without pressuring myself because if I get to be fast being pressured there will come a time that
the quality of the work I produce is not that best since I was pushed with pressure but I hope I do met their expectation this week since they are really telling me to
go faster than my usual pace. So far there are no problem encountered and I am glad to enjoy my new year with ease. That’s it for this week and this year. See
you next year. Happy New Year!
