Dear Parents or Guardians,

Let me introduce myself. I am a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in history, and I am
looking forward to a new school year as your child’s teacher. This year will be an exciting time for all of
us. We will study Theatre Arts in my class. I have planned many activities throughout the course for the
year designed to help your child succeed, not only this year but also in the future.

Students and their parents or guardians are naturally concerned about the course work in Theatre Arts.
There will ample performance opportunities and learned skills for your child. Theatre Arts require no
homework, but occasionally you might see line rehearsals or working on projects. Students are
expected to participate and respect others.
