SOME-ANY ONE-ONES

Ambos términos significan: alguno, alguna,


algunos, algunas y generalmente se utilizan
cuando no es necesario establecer de manera
exacta cuan grande o pequeña es la cantidad
que se exprese.
Some and Any
We use SOME and ANY with plural
nouns and uncountable nouns.
Some is generally used in positive sentences.
Any is generally used in negative sentences.
1. I have some information for you about flights to
Paris.
(Positive - Uncountable)
2. We met some friends for drinks after work
yesterday.
(Positive - Plural Countable)
3. I think he will have some time to speak to you
today.
(Positive - Uncountable)
With uncountable nouns we use SOME
and in affirmative sentenses
If you need some more money, I can lend you some.

ANY IS USED IN NEGATIVE AND QUESTIONS
SENTENSES:

1. One y ones
One es un pronombre que se utiliza para sustituir a un nombre contable en singularevitando así la repetición innecesaria del mismo.
• I like both but the purple one is gorgeous.
- Me gustan los dos, pero el morado es precioso.
• The big ones are mine.
• - Los grandes son míos.
¿Cómo se utilizan one y ones?
Estas partículas se utilizan siguiendo unas estructuras concretas:

• El grande es un Danés y el pequeño un Puli (perro).

• Su coche es muy viejo. Necesita uno nuevo.
singular countable noun ONE
En este tipo de frase, one es un pronombre. Se refiere a un sustantivo
(singular) ya mencionado. Se usa así para evitar una repetición del
mismo sustantivo.
¿Que usos tiene "one"? Puede usarse como "sustantivo" , "adjetivo" o
"pronombre".
One puede ser sustantivo. En este caso equivale al número uno.
• I asked for a glass, but they did not have one.
• I'd like to buy a house. If I can afford it, I'll get a big one.
• I'd like to buy a house. If I can afford it, I'll get one with a lot of space.
• I'd rather have that one. Prefiero ése.
• One should work hard. Uno debería trabajar duro.

• -These ones are mine.Éstos son míos. Estoy señalando dos libros que
tengo sobre la mesa.
• Those ones are yours. Ésos son tuyos. Estoy señalando otros dos
libros que son de mi interlocutor.
• I would rather have the red ones. Prefiero los rojos.
• The ones on the right are more expensive (shoes).
• Los de la derecha son más caros (zapatos).
