Co-ed schools are schools where both males and females are taught in a classroom together.

Many
people have strong views either for or against co-ed schools. Depending on the students and their
preferred learning environment, they may choose to learn with other students who have the same
or a different gender from themselves.

Co-ed school is better than single-sex school because co-ed school can improve better
communication. It is because it can allow a child to talk to people of any gender with ease. Other
than that, it will lead to better communication skills because both gender perspectives are
constantly explored and the varied moods of communication amongst the genders are better
understood. Besides, it develops the skills needed to interact with each other in the long run. Apart
from that, co-ed schools are better to make sure gender equality. It is because children will grow to
respect and appreciate the options and attributes of both genders. It also provides an environment
where both genders are taught and treated the same promoting this equality from the very start of
their education.

Co-ed schools can show the real world of life to prevent the students from culture shock when
they were outside. It is because a child will find it easier to build relationships and work alongside
the opposite sex and both genders are in constant contact and have to cooperate in daily life.
Furthermore, a co-ed school can have healthy competition because a co-ed school prepares a
student for life outside of school. Other than that, it can help children to overcome the fear or
shyness of interacting with the opposite gender. Lastly, the healthy competition provides a balanced
and comfortable environment where they feel they can easily have a conversation with
the opposite sex.

Hence, after reading all the above-mentioned advantages of coed education system we can
conclude that co-educational schools are much more effective for the overall growth of child
compared to single-gender schools. Especially for the girls, the coed is like a blessing which provides
them an equal opportunity.
