Lightning Arrestor

A lightning arrestor is a deviced used in power system

and telecommunication line from the conductor and

insulator from the damaging effect of lightning

L coil (Induction coil)

L coil is used to prevent the transmission of high

Frequency carrier signal of power line communi-

cation to unwanted destination.

Isolator

It is usally known as ‘disconector’

By its name isolate it's meaning that isolator

Are used to isolate the line.

It is single side isolator in hvdc area

Voltage divider(VD)

A VD is used in power

Thyristor

900 thyristor is used for pole 1 and 900 for pole 2
● For protection snubber circuit is used means R and C

● For protection or colling the thyristor we use value
colling hall

reactance and allow to increased the flow of current.

Current Transformer(CT)

measuring instruments.

The secondary winding is having taps to
have different CT ration 2000/1 ,
1000/1 and 500/1.
Circuit breaker

Circuit breaker is to disconnect the

it's require. The main difference
between a isolator and circuit breaker
is that cb used under load

No load condition .
Sf6 type of curcuit breaker is used to
quench the high voltage .
