1. SCOPE AND PURPOSE
The scope and purpose of this method statement are to describe the method of installation
of hangers, anchor and support of plumbing system in TH Cagayan – Proposed 4-Storey
with Roofdeck Mall in accordance with the project specifications.

2. TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS


2.1. Materials Used
1. All materials to be used are as per the approved material submittals.
2. The sizes and routes routing will be as per the approved Shop Drawings

2.2. Tools And Equipment


The tools and equipment that will be engaged for hangers and anchors and supports
installation will be as follows:
1. Welding Machine
2. Drilling Machines
3. Grooving Machine
4. Cutting and Grinding Machine
5. Pipe Wrenches
6. Spanners
7. Measuring tape and etc.

3. HEALTH AND SAFETY


1. All works shall comply with safety procedures.
2. Basic PPE to be worn all by involved at all times during work execution.
3. Only trained and knowledgeable will do the task.
4. Approved work method statement and risk assessment will be made available to site.
5. All workers doing the work shall be briefed on this method statement and risk
assessment

4. RESPONSIBILTIES AND SUPERVISION


4.1. Project Manager
1. Ensure that all the preparation and application works are carried out according to the
Contract Specification and with the approved drawings.
2. Ensure that the progressing of works is carried out according to the planned program
and as per the approved method of statement.
3. Ensure that all the equipment and material required executing the work are available
according to the planned construction program.
4. Coordinate with the Main contractor, MEP coordinator, Safety Officer for a safe and
proper execution of the works.

4.2 Site Engineer
1. Ensure that the works are carried out according to the Contract Specification, approved
method statement and the shop drawings.
2. Provide all necessary information and distribute responsibilities to his construction.
3. Monitor the progress of work in relation with the work program and to report to the
Project Manager.
4. Coordinate with the safety officer and to ensure that the works are carried out in safe
practicing method.

4.3 Foreman
1. Maintain continuous coordination with the site engineer on daily basis, and ensure
proper distribution of the work force on the required and planned locations.
2. Ensure that his assistant foreman/ charge hand are aware of the job requirements and
they have enough information to carry out their duties properly.
3. Ensure that the daily work is progressing as planned and advice the site engineer of any
requirement for additional resources.
4. Ensure in consultation with the site engineer that the manpower involved in the work is
moving as agreed and planned for the work.
5. Control disposal of waste materials according to the instructions received from the site
engineer.
6. Ensure full coordination with the safety officer to maintain safe working and proper
housekeeping of the site, following the proved safety measures and further ensure that
all his working team are aware of the same to prevent accident and losses.
7. Inform the site engineer regarding areas ready for inspection.
8. Make sure to store the material delivery to the site and keep it in suitable area that will
keep the material in safe from rusty and damage and acknowledge the receiving of
materials at site in coordination with QA/QC and concerned Engineer.

4.4 Safety Engineer


1. Ensure the implementation of all the safety measures in accordance with the HSE plan
and everybody aware of it for its proper implementation.
2. Ensure all the implemented safety measures are adequate to maintain safe working on
the site.
3. Inspect all the site activities and train the person to prevent accidents and its proper
implementation.
4. Ensure that the site is maintained clean and tidy

5. WORK SEQUENCE AND METHODOLOGY


5.1 Storage And Protection
1. Deliver components parts to site, completely identified in accordance with shop and
certified drawings prepared for the work.
2. Store in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, above ground, properly
protected from the weather and construction activities.

5.2 Pre-Installation
1. All materials and documentation relevant to this particular section of works will be
checked and verified ensuring that these are correct and approved type.
2. Prior to the commencement of works, ensure that the areas for permanent installation
are ready, accessible and in suitable condition.

5.3 Installation
1. Examine the conditions at the job site where work shall be performed to insure proper
arrangement and fit of the work, we will coordinate the drawings and specifications in
order to ensure the completeness of the work required. Verify measurements and
dimensions at the job site and cooperate in the coordination and scheduling of the work.
2. Proceed with installation of hangers, supports and anchors only after required building
structural work has been completed in areas where the work is to be installed. Correct
inadequacies including (but not limited to) proper placement of inserts, anchors and
other building structural attachments.
3. install hangers, supports, clamps and attachments to support piping properly from
building structure, directly mounted with the Hollow core slab by using the M10 Unfix and
the threaded rod M10 will be installed directly inside the unfix and we will arrange for
grouping of parallel runs of horizontal piping to support together. Where supporting
piping of various sizes together by trapeze hangers, space hangers for smallest pipe
size or install intermediate supports for smaller diameter pipe.
4. Install hangers and supports complete with necessary inserts, bolts, rods, nuts, washers
and other accessories. Except as otherwise indicated for exposed continuous pipe runs,
install hangers and supports of same type and style as installed for adjacent similar
piping.
5. Adjust hangers so as to distribute loads equally on attachments and we will provide
grout under supports so as to bring piping and equipment to proper level and elevations.

5.4 Technical Assistance


1. The installation supervising technician for the system trade shall instruct the consultant
engineer, and Construction Site Manager on the programming and correct operation of
2. All the system after the installation is completed, instruction shall be scheduled at the
convenience of the staff, and instruction shall be properly recorded.
3. WIR will be issued for Consultant approval upon making sure that the installation of the
system equipment’s done as per approved shop drawings, approved specs and
manufacturer recommendations.

6. WASTE MANAGEMENT
The rubbish which would be created from the scope of works will be disposed to the designated
dumping ground.
