ART APPRECIATION
ACTIVITY 3

Now that you have learned about the functions of art and how art serves various purposes on
man, as well

as the concept of soul and space, you are now ready to do Activity 3. To accomplish this task,
be guided

by the steps below:

1. Select your most inspiring space at home.

2. Take a picture of that space showing inspiring objects or view.

3.In not more than 15 sentences, explain the PERSONAL FUNCTION of your chosen

space. Underline your key terms. Here are some guide questions (guide only) which you

can use in explaining the personal function of your space. You can add other details that

you believe may enhance the breadth of your explanation. Please take note, however, that

the last question (h) should be answered toward the end of your explanation.

a. What do you call your selected space?

b. Where is it located?

c. What do you feel when you occupy that space? Why?

d. What are you able to accomplish when in that space?

e. Does the space speak of a sentimental or special moment in your life?

f. Do you think that your selected space is something common among Philippine houses?

MY INSPIRING SPACE
My personal space showed in the picture was located in my room the one above the
arrangement of my pens is one of my rose paints works I made it on March 20, 2021. And the
picture is already below is Seokjin in the BTS band. This picture frame was a gift to me by my
best friend Millicent on the Anniversary of our friendship on May 6, 2022. When I'm here in this
space it's actually one of my favorite spaces because it's my study desk. I feel comfortable and
when I see the picture and my paintings, I lose my stress. When I am here in this space I am often
here studying through online, listening to music, watching movies and etc. Also, when I'm bored,
I do paintings and drawings. This space has sentimental value to me because the paintings I
made also gave me a special moment and giving motivation to myself because doing paintings
is my happiness.

My personal space is also the same as the houses here in the Philippines but not all because
for me it gives comfort to the person who is studying or doing another thing. I think even in the
old days people were using such desks or utensils for studying or etc. This space is one of the
special ones for me because when I was a child, I used to always do my assignments at the chair
and now my parents bought me things and a good desk for my study. For the color pencils was
given by my brother. Lastly, the picture frame of seokjin is also special to me it gives me
inspiration while studying and all of this in my space is special to me. In my space is not
considered an art are the color pens because it is only for handwriting as well as the clock and
picture frame they are just there if needed and all of this are inspiring view to me.
