Summary
Students will describe the jobs(teacher, doctor, nurse, pilot, vet…), their working places( school, hospital,
airport…) and discriminate their areas (education, health, security…) via activities, handouts and video.

Writing and matching activity handouts about jobs and areas of jobs are given to the students to fill the
blanks.

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan


For the first week of the unit, teacher will introduce and explain the topic (Jobs) with Powtoon. In order to
reinforce the topic, the teacher will show the game or activity on the website. By this way, the students will
have an active role. After this, they will examine the concept map with the teacher, and they will
comprehend the places and areas of jobs. At the end of the lesson, handouts about places and jobs are given
to the students and expected to think and write to the blanks.

Back-up plan: If there is any technical problem during class hours about powtoon or website, teacher will
explain the topic by drawing on board or distribute the papers that have pictures of topic are ready
beforehand.
