II. Proposed Innovation.

Intervention, and Strategy

The conducted research was found to empower strategies, leading to engagement. Field study
students were encouraged to conduct research that addresses issues and concerns about teaching
approaches that incorporate technology, aiding in increasing students interests and engagement.
The conducted research is considered to be an important aspect of creating a conducive learning
environment.

As an intervention to the emerging problem on the lack of engagement and motivation of the
students during class, this study will utilize and implement technology integration inside the
classroom to assess and improve students’ interest and engagement through the integration of
technology in a classroom procedures. Wherein the pre-service teacher will implement ICT tools
or integrate technology in his/her teaching-learning process. ( i.e PowerPoint Presentation
/Canva with games, Kahoot, quizzlet);

PPT or CANVA
Power point presentation can be used to introduce a classroom concept while providing the
opportunity for engagement. The Pre- service teachers will used PowerPoint for discussion,
showing multimedia presentation or videos and conducting an interactive activities, such as
PICTOGRAPH OR WORDBLURT wherein the Pre -service teacher will show a picture or a
word then the students will expound and explain their ideas , this is a great way to review
materials from previous lesson , an ice breaker and establishing a purpose for a lesson.
One of the best way to engage the students in the classroom is to let them lead the show. The
pre- service teacher plan to give group presentation wherein students present their group work
or what have been taught or the upcoming lesson through PowerPoint presentation or Canva
(documents, poster, infographic and etc.). This will allow students to work together in a small
groups and present in the class. These boost engagement in class.
WHEELNAMES/RANDOMIZER NAME PICK
Through the randomizer wheel or color wheel. The pre-service teacher planned to integrate this
technology tool during formative assessment, recitation and group activities. The randomizer
will randomly pick a name or a number that corresponds to the students . This will excite
students and make them attentive during the formative assessment.
KAHOOT OR QUIIZIZ
This is an educational app. The pre-service teachers planned to use Kahoot or Quiiziz during
review of the lesson, as part of blended learning activities and formative assessment such as
short test, or quizzes. The pre -service will use these apps because they are game-based platform
that makes the learning fun, the students will be able to compete against their classmates while
learning and mastering new concepts .To innovate, if the students don’t have phones then they
can answer through paper. Albeit the Pre-service teachers plan to create a group quiz so those
who don’t have phones may answer through by their group. These apps include variety of
questions types such as multiple-choice, fill – in- the- blank, true/false and short answer.

The main objective of the project TEACH-IT is to uplift student engagement during discussion
with the utilization of technology. It consists of a simplified process flow to facilitate strategic,
innovative, and effective approaches. The project improves the quality of learning with ICT
tools. The participants of the study will be subjected to one class to be facilitated by the Pre-
service Teachers researchers in every day (according to participants’ class schedule) with one-
hour duration for one (1) month. Pre-service Teachers will undertake observation along with
checklists for student engagement throughout the discussion with the pre-service teacher in order
to monitor the research. To assess the engagement and participation of the participants before
and after implementation the project, individual/students participation frequency in a classroom
setting, will be utilized along with observation, checklists , audio and video record.
