2023 CJMEA Region II Orchestra

STUDENT CONTRACT
TO BE COMPLETED BY PARENT(S)/GUARDIAN(S), DIRECTOR, AND STUDENT

This form must be completed and include all signatures. You must turn it in at the reading rehearsal on
Saturday, December 17th at Bridgewater Raritan High School with your $20 cash acceptance fee in order to
participate in the CJMEA Region II Orchestra.

General Expectations and Student Code of Conduct

1. Students will arrive on time and attend all rehearsals and the concert in their entirety.
2. Students will immediately report any accidents, injuries, and/or illnesses to the Band manager or division
chairperson.
3. Students will cooperate fully with managers and any other administrative officials.
4. The use of cellphones, tablets, laptops, or other electronic devices during rehearsals and performances is
strictly prohibited, unless authorized by the manager or conductor. Students who are repeatedly asked to put
their device away may be immediately dismissed from the ensemble and prohibited from participation in the
concert performance.
5. Once checked in to rehearsal, students are not permitted to leave the premises for any reason. Students
must be in assigned areas at all times.
6. Pranks or vandalism of any kind will not be tolerated. Parents and/or the participant will assume full financial
responsibility for any damage caused by the participant.
7. Use, possession, or acquisition of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products (including Juul and other vape
devices), and/or illegal drugs is prohibited at any time during participation in the Region II Band. Any
violation of this rule will result in immediate dismissal.
8. Students will arrange for the timely pick-up/departure (within 15 minutes) from all scheduled rehearsals and
the concert.

The undersigned, have read this official 2023 CJMEA Region II Orchestra Student Contract, discussed its contents with
the student, and agree to support its enforcement. I endorse this student as an outstanding musician worthy of CJMEA
Honors Ensembles participation. I understand that these ensembles are organized expressly for the students of NJMEA
members only. My signature below certifies that I am a member of NJMEA and have this student under my direction in
a high school orchestra program. I understand that, as the ensemble director, I agree to notify CJMEA in case of a
change in contact information.
