How the Music Contributes to the Performance of the Musical Production

Music is a type of art that uses sound. Usually, the song is considered the smallest musical work,
especially whenever it is accompanied by singing. The common elements of music are pitch (which guides
melody and harmony), rhythm (associated with tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics, and all the sonic
characteristics of timbre and texture. Music plays a vital role based on an oral tradition in ancient societies.
A performer in a sense interprets the ritual and tradition but, more importantly, renews it and transforms it
through personal performance. The development of the performer’s role as interpreter coincide with the
development of musical notation. Because composers for so many centuries were in a position to supervise
the performances of their music.
