1. How can you describe the Filipinos in the digital age?

Filipinos have more power in the digital age. Communication has significantly improved. If the
country's internet infrastructure is considerably enhanced, Filipinos can benefit greatly more as
entrepreneurs. Some people nowadays use the internet to do business and earn a living. It also protects
us from the pandemic by allowing us to purchase necessities without exposing us to undue public
scrutiny. Anyone can now sell online, allowing them to earn money without leaving their home. True,
Filipinos today are better off than a decade ago when smartphones were still rare. Filipinos, on the other
hand, are entitled to more. If there were a greater urgency to enhance digital infrastructure, the
economy would profit even more.

2. What nature and culture do Filipinos exhibit when using social media?

Filipinos may use social media to express and share a range of arts. Our culture and nature express
our pride in our civilization and country. The Philippines' culture is a mix of Eastern and Western
influences. Pre-colonial traditions predominantly influenced the formation of Filipino identity.

3. What Filipino values are represented by these nature and culture?

Family-centered, faith-based, compassionate for others and education-focused values have

remained consistent in the Philippines. The importance of society's values, such as excellent
government, nationalism, honesty, and integrity, are emphasized by Filipinos. Personality, life and
purpose, resilience, and happiness are examples of personal values.

4. What is the author's attitude towards these Filipino culture and values?

The writer was creative. I also appreciate how the book depicts Filipino social media usage with
primary language rather than exaggerated expressions. My only advice is that the author includes or
clearly states the disadvantages that technology and social media have brought to us Filipinos. As well as
proper online and social media etiquette.

5. How can you associate yourself with the Filipino culture and values illustrated in the text?

You should understand and study the Filipino culture before you associate with them. Both sides
should go above and beyond to learn about the culture and values of the people with whom they are
working in order to preserve a harmonious and efficient working relationship.

6. What do you think are the pros and cons of technology and social media for the Filipino
community? How can we take advantage of the digital world?

Modern technology may assist people in the Philippines and throughout the world. It could be
advantageous, but it could also be harmful. However, in today's world, practically everyone in the
Philippines is focused on employing modern technology in their daily lives. People today can't imagine
their lives without contemporary technologies like television, cellphones, computers, etc. Modern
technology can now assist people worldwide in communicating effectively and maintaining solid long-
distance relationships. Modern technologies can offer us all we need and are incredibly beneficial to
Filipinos. However, while modern technologies provide many benefits, they also have certain
disadvantages. We can take advantage of the internet world by using it as a means of communication,
particularly during current moment. It can also be utilized for advertising and commercial purposes.
There's a lot to do, including vlogging. We can also speak with the rest of the globe in this planet.

Pros- Make new friends/communicate or connect with old friends and family. Connect with
students in other educational systems. Social media can bring people together that are interested in
the same things as you are. Ability to educate others differently. Try to make an impact (helping with
natural disasters and raising awareness). Advertising yourself and a brand. Convenience (mass
invitation online to events.
Cons- Cyberbullying Posting inappropriate statuses/pictures Making people feel bad about
themselves Hacking into profiles and posting as them Gossip/spread rumors Stalking people If your
profile is not private, people can get private information about you Creating a blog that defames
others. We can take advantage of the digital world by using it as a tool to spread awareness that
using too much technology/social media can cause personality and brain disorders in us, such as the
inability to have real conversations, limited attention spans, a need for instant gratification,
Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and self-centered personalities.
