Kindly answer the following:


1. Identify the different conceptions of human flourishing.

- It encompasses the uniqueness, dignity, diversity, freedom, happiness, and holistic


well-being of the individual within the larger family, community, and population.
Achieving human flourishing is a life-long existential journey of hopes, achievements,
regrets, losses, illness, suffering, and coping.

2. Differentiate Falsification with Verification theory.


- “Falsification” is to be understood as the refutation of statements, and in
contrast, “verification” refers to statements that are shown to be true. The goal
of science is to create knowledge by identifying true statements as true (verified)
and false statements as false (falsified).

3. Create your own concept of human flourishing of today’s generation by


illustrating it in any form.
- Human flourishing of today’s generation are they effort to achieve self-
actualization and fulfillment within the context of a larger community of
individuals, each with the right to pursue his/her own such efforts.

Lesson 2
Kindly answer the following:

1. Try to imagine the world without technology. How do you think your day-
to-day life would be like? Do this by illustrating a scenario where a certain
technological innovation does not exist. Example: Watch, phone, cars and
electricity. Draw it below.
- I think my day to day life would be if without technology is it will be difficulty
with everything important matters. Example if we haven’t television/radio we
didn’t know what is the weather’s today and also we innocent in every
happening in our worlds today.
2. Cut out pictures in magazines or newspapers that demonstrate how
technology has made the man’s desire for a happy life more realizable and
explain the relationship between the good life and science.

- Technology leads to a good life as it is responsible for advancement in all sectors of the
economy. It is because it provides us a means to achieve something faster and in an easier
manner. Modern technology has led to the evolution of several devices such as the
smartphone, computers, etc.

Lesson 3
Kindly answer the following.
1. Discuss the development of science and technology in the Philippines.
- The colonization of the Philippines contributed to growth of science and
technology in the archipelago. Science and technology in the
Philippines describes scientific and technological progress made by
the Philippines and analyses related policy issues.
2. List the effects of the interplay between technology and humanity
through the dilemma they face. Choose a unique topic and its perceived
effects and the dilemma it entails. Do not forget to show the role/s played
by the technological advancement in the lives of the people;

- In 2019, the Philippines was hailed as the most internet-addicted


country in the world. We spend so much time in the internet and utilize
everything technology offers. Even without the WiFi connection, a lot
of us still use free mobile data to get through the day. Furthermore, we
have downloaded games. Though technology has helped us
conveniently comply with what our jobs require and in communicating
with those who are far from us, it also has bad effects on us: Lack of
communication with family members, sorting out our priorities,
academic performance worsens, declination of mental health, and low
EQ.
