GUIDELINES ON THE CONVERSION OF IP GRADE

Please note that this set of guidelines was released as of April 29, 2020. Our
responses, learning delivery, and schedules may change depending on the
development of national, local, and University situation in relation to COVID-19.

Please be guided by the following steps in converting IP grades in various courses.

A. For IP in alphanumeric-graded courses


The professor shall process the request for conversion.

B. For IP f rom thesis and similar courses (e.g., capstone, dissertation, etc.)
a. Student must f ill out the Request to Complete Course form,
which can be downloaded f rom

b. The f illed-out form must be sent to the professor for comments


(requirements to be completed). The professor shall then discuss the
comments with the student.

c. The professor shall email the accomplished form to dbdocog@mapua.edu.ph


for billing and issuance of the Completion Report Form.

d. The professor shall f ill out the Completion Report Form and secure the
approval of the Dean/Program Chair. Once approved, the professor shall
send the form to registrar@mapua.edu.ph for encoding.

C. For IP Completion of CORREL:


a. Student must f ill out the Request to Complete Course form,
which can be downloaded f rom
https://www.mapua.edu.ph/About/Off ices/RO/Downloadables.aspx
and have it validated by the Registrar’s Off ice.

b. Registrar shall verify if the student is still within the allowable period
of completion.

c. Registrar shall forward the validated form to the Center for Continuing
Education and Special Competencies (CCESC) after its evaluation.

d. CCESC shall verify if the student passed all the pre-requisite Exit Exams.

e. CCESC shall email the form to dbdocog@mapua.edu.ph for billing and


issuance of the Completion Report Form.

f. CCESC shall f ill out the Completion Report Form and secure the
approval of the Dean/Program Chair. Once approved, CCESC shall send
the form to registrar@mapua.edu.ph for encoding.
