A TEACHER’S LIGHT IN DARKNESS

(A REFLECTION)

Teachers assist pupils in learning, but this does not rule out the possibility that the
teacher requires assistance as well. We think that "no man is an island," thus we need a
partner to lead us in the right direction and to be our light in the dark. As teachers, we need
assistance with everything that can help us navigate through the dark. This darkness isn't
caused by a lack of light; rather, it occurs when we lose focus of how to conduct successful
teaching-learning processes. The instructor creates a daily lesson plan to help guide the
students' learning. It helps the teacher stay on track with the lecture by serving as a guide.
When I first started teaching, I was concerned about lesson planning, particularly my
handwriting. It taught me that teaching is a difficult profession. It's a job that needs a great
deal of patience, particularly while writing. I squandered about 15 sheets of intermediate pad
the first time I wrote one since my handwriting was terrible, and I spent two and a half hours
simply composing a semi-detailed one. As a practicing teacher, I had to consider a variety of
factors, including not just the lesson plan but also the teaching materials. Getting used to the
new time zone was exhausting. This lesson plan, in my opinion, is a must-have for us
apprentice teachers since it will keep us on track to successful teaching. I also needed to
review my lesson plan so that I wouldn't get lost during my discussion. It was encouraging to
receive both positive and negative comments from your resource teacher regarding your
lesson plan and demonstration since it gives you the motivation to do better each day.
