Simple past tense (Pasado simple)
We use the simple past tense to talk about completed actions or
conditions: se utiliza el pasado simple para hablar de acciones
quese completaron o realizaron en el pasado.
Some verbs are regular in the simple past tense. They have an ed
ending. Los verbos regulares terminan en ed.
Regular verbs.

Play= played
Ask= asked
Travel= traveled
Want= wanted
Need= needed
Help= helped

Some verbs are irregular in the simple past tense. They have
many different forms.

Leave= left
Say= said
See= saw
Take= took
Have= had
Do= did
Simple past tense
In affirmative statements you need to write the verb in past.
He rented a car on his trip to Europe last November. (+)

In negative form we use didn`t+ verb in the base form.


He didn`t rent a car on his trip to Europe last November. (-)

In questions we use Did+subject+verb in the base form.


Did he rent a car on his trip to Europe last november?
