    Saccharum (Poaceae), is an
    important industrial crop accounting for nearly 70% of sugar produced
    worldwide. Compared to other major crops, efforts to improve sugarcane are
    limited and relatively recent, with the first introduction of interspecific
    hybrids about 80 yr ago.

    A scoring system with 1 to 5 scale was devised to measure body condition of


    dairy cows at any point during the lactation cycle. Cows were scored on
    appearance and palpation of back and hind quarters only.

    Noodles as well as cooked rice have been played an important role in Korean diet. Wheat flour products(bread, noodles
    and confectionery) account for 18.6% of the sales volume of food products. Noodle industry consumed 40.4% of the
    total flour produced in 1996. Annual demand of wheat is approximately 2 million tons.
