POTENTIAL SOCIAL, ECONOMIC AND OTHER IMPACTS

Education is a planned effort to create a learning process so that students can develop
their potential. In forming students who have good quality, it can be determined in the
learning process, the success of the learning process and can be measured from the
social quality and achievements possessed by students. The existence of online
learning actually creates advantages and disadvantages for students, with distance
learning there are many student behaviors that change, from positive and negative
behavior. One positive example is making students understand technology and their
learning activities become flexible just by accessing the internet and intermediary media
for interaction from various applications that are very affordable, such as WhatsApp,
Zoom Meeting, Google Meet, Google Classroom, and even YouTube. 2 While the
negative example is that the learning system can also make children carry out
behaviors that deviate from the use of technology itself. So that students are at risk of
being addicted to gadgets which makes them lose interest in learning and also lack an
attitude of socializing with the environment. This is a problem that affects the social
development of students. Because the space for students to interact, socialize, and
adjust to their peers is limited and the learning atmosphere from home is not the same
as at school, only limited to interactions from family or parental guidance at home. In
everyday life, every individual will definitely carry out social relations, namely the
relationship of a person with other people in social life in the scope of society with other
individuals or certain groups. Social correlation occurs between individuals as well as
groups known as social interaction. The interactions between various aspects of life
which are often experienced in everyday life will produce a correlation reference that
influences each other so that it will produce a social system in society. This event is
called the social process. The number of various cultures makes the diversity of social
relations owned by the community. In a society that has a variety of social relations, it is
necessary to have an attitude of harmony, such as following the rules that apply, and
complying with the system of values and norms that apply in the society in which we
live. Then with online learning it also has an impact on the economy which causes
traders in canteens and around schools to lose meta searches because learning is
carried out online from home (Online Learning). Also online learning requires capable
gadgets to carry out the teaching and learning process and not everyone can easily
have these gadgets due to economic limitations. But with online learning costs for
transportation reduced, you can save pocket money and also the cost of study books
and stationery because everything is done online.
and these are a few brief points about the social, economic and other impacts of online
learning

1. A More Practical and Enjoyable Learning Experience

Learning in class can sometimes be boring and stress students so that the learning
material provided by the teacher becomes ineffective. However, through E-Learning, the
learning process becomes more flexible and comfortable thereby increasing students'
motivation to learn.

Students can access their E-Learning materials anytime and anywhere using the
various types of gadgets they have. They can repeat any material at will if they don't
really understand it yet. Students can also choose material according to their interests
and needs.

2. A More Personal Approach to Each Student

We all know that it is difficult for a teacher to meet the unique needs of each student,
especially when there are many students in a class. E-Learning enables teachers to
move from a “one size fits all” learning model to a learning model that focuses on the
needs of each student. With a gradual learning system and various content formats,
teachers can provide a unique and personal learning experience, which cannot be done
in a traditional classroom.

3. Student performance can be monitored more easily

E-Learning provides the ability for educators to track students' progress and ensure that
they meet their performance milestones. For example, if students fail to pass their
online exams, then teachers can offer them learning methods that are more suited to
their personalities so that they will more easily absorb learning material and ultimately
improve their learning performance.

Sophisticated E-Learning systems provide reporting and analysis tools that also allow
teachers to determine which areas of E-Learning are lacking and which are excellent. If,
for example, there are many of your students who have difficulty mastering certain
learning materials, for example, the teacher can evaluate them and make improvements
if needed.
4. Save on Learning Costs
E-Learning enables educational institutions to reduce costs for teaching staff, classroom
equipment, renting online training sites, and printing books. Educational institutions do
not need to present different teaching staff for each class, print hundreds of books, and
renovate classrooms.

5. Centralized Student Database

All detailed information about students is securely stored in a centralized system.
Schools can determine who can access student data. Biodata, classes attended,
assignments and exams completed, their payment status, and various learning
activities, all of which can be easily monitored on one screen
