ANTIPULUAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

SCHOOL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION MANAGEMENT TEAM DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

CHAIRPERSON:

 Convenes the SDRRMT and activate school disaster operation center.


 Coordinates with MDRRMO and BDRRMO for appropriate supports in event of emergency evacuation.
 Lead the team in disaster management and contingency planning.
 Identifies and designates school operation center.
 Initiates and conducts training courses for disaster management activities with assistance from partner agencies.
 Exercise command and responsibility for the implementation of the school disaster

VICE CHAIRPERSON:

 Performs the functions of the Chairperson in his/her absence.


 Assist the SDRRMT chairperson to organize the SDRRMT and redefining the functional roles and responsibilities of the SDRRMT members.
 Assist the chairperson in choosing and designating members in the different SDRRMT committee.
 Performs such other functions and responsibilities that maybe assigned by the SDRRMT Chairperson.

DRRM COORDINATOR:

 Support coordinator to the chairperson


 Act as focal person for the Education cluster
 Oversees the expected incoming disaster
 Plan and conduct preparedness on the different SDRR structure
 Monitor the conduct of the simulation activities on the different identified hazard
PREVENTION AND MITIGATION COMMITTEE:

 Performs observation and survey for potential hazards or hazard mapping.


 Prepares the school hazard plan.
 Prepares historical hazards or profiling of hazards events.
 Submit observation and hazard monitoring report and school hazard capacity assessment report.

PREPAREDNESS COMMITTEE:

 Identifying relevant disaster and emergency situations that may occur.


 Formulate a plan for each identified disaster and emergency situation to be followed in case it occurs
 Assess the level of preparedness of school regularly to meet all such identified disaster situation.
 Recommend modifications/repairs required in school building and facilities to address disasters.
 Recommend training and mock drills required to be conducted for pupils, faculty and staff preparedness
 Conduct analyses and make improvements post

RESPONSE COMMITTEE:

 Determine the impact and scopes of hazard incident.


 Make appropriate notifications.
 Prioritize emergency actions
 Deploys resources and equipment
 Monitors and re-evaluate emergencies.
 Coordinate and report with the SDRRMT chairperson

RECOVERY AND REHABILITATION COMMITTEE:

 Identify casualties/ damages


 Keep accurate record of casualties/damages
 Provide recommendations for rehabilitations
 Manage and lead the recovery and rehabilitation process
