The webinar aimed to strengthen the records management capacity of government employees and provide knowledge and skills for implementing standard policies on identifying and preserving permanent records. The training covered introducing records management, the Records Management Program, and the components of the RMP.

Management Officer (RMO) Nasima A. Alyasa, attended the three-day Government Records Officers’ Association of the Philippines, Inc. (GROAP) Webinar, with the theme “Establishment of Records Management Program in Government Office,” via Zoom Meet on October 27-29, 2021. The webinar aimed to strengthen the capacity of the employees whose work are relevant in records management, as well as to provide government personnel the knowledge and skills needed in implementing required standard policies in proper identification and preservation of permanent records. “As public employees, everyone needs to have a level of responsibility for the public records they create and use. Records Management is a team effort”, Ms. Estrella M. Domingo, Resource Person for the three-day webinar, reminded the participants. “The training and webinar were extremely interesting and useful. Participants from different organizations also remarked on how helpful it was as the speaker presented the material with expertise and genuineness”, RMO Alyasa said. The webinar started with an introduction to records management, followed by the Records Management Program (RMP). The participants learned through the sessions about the Components of the RMP.
