Moodle are quite famous between other applications. Although they are as famous as another, but they
have differences and similiarities in some aspects. These will be explained in the following paragraph.

Features in Moodle app and Edmodo app make these two application be different. Moodle app
has forum feature to adding discussion topics for participants to conduct asynchronous discussion.
Several forum types are available to select from: a standard forum where anyone can initiate any
discussion at any time or question and answer forum where students first need to post answer to be
able to view other students’ posts. Forms posts may be rated by teachers or by course participants.
Moodle app also has The Scorm package module is useful for presenting animations and multimedia
content. It is simply a collection of files that are packaged as per the agreed standard (Deepak, 2017).
Meanwhile in Edmodo app has Polling feature that can be used by teachers to see students’ responses
in terms of understanding the material given. Not only for learning but it can be a media to give
feedback about how the learning held. Other feature in Edmodo app is Library. Teachers can upload

provides unlimited capacity that allows any teacher to store, sort, share, and organize various kinds of
documents in just one account (Purnawarman et al., 2016).

On the other hand, Edmodo app and Moodle app also have the similiarities in their features. The
assignment in Moodle app allows students to submit assignment that can be a digital file such as word
processing document, images, spreadsheet or audio video clips. Students can also submit assignment
alternatively by typing text directly into the text editor (Deepak, 2017). In Edmodo app, The assignment

the feature use by teacher to give assignment to student as online. This feature comes with the time
deadline and attach file feature that the students can submit assignments in the form of files directly to
the teacher. Assignments can be simple as a student text-based response and reply, or can allow for
downloading (and even uploading or attaching) documents and multimedia in order to complete an
assignment (Noviana et al., 2015). Not only one feature, The file feature in Moodle app allows lecturer
to add a file as a course resource. It can include supported file formats such as pdf or word documents.
Students are required to have an appropriate software on their computers to open the file. It allows
displaying a list of related files inside a single folder that reduces scrolling on the course page (Dhika et
al., 2020). In Edmodo app, File and Links feature serves to send notes with file attachments and links. It
can also be operated for teachers to upload images, videos, texts, or whatever they think can increase
students' curiosity when learning (Purnawarman et al., 2016).

In wap up, Edmodo app and Moodle app become two of the most wellknown application for
learning because they have features to support it. Although they’re as wellknown as another, they still
have differences and similiarities. So the users will be easy to choose depends on their willingness.
