KULASA MATHSAYA 2023

Theme: “Mathematics for Everyone”

Math Impersonation
Guidelines/Mechanics

1. This contest is open for Junior and Senior High students.


2. Each class will choose one representative from his/her class.
3. The class will draw lots to identify the Mathematicians they will represent.
4. Each representative together with the whole class, will make and prepare materials and
props for his/her character.
5. For the stage presentation, representatives will deliver a monologue including the
descriptions and details of their chosen character on stage in at most 3 minutes.
6. Representatives must submit 3 copies of the speech and 3 copies of the picture of the
Mathematicians he/she portrays on or before February 22, 2023.
7. On February 24, 2023, is the Culminating activity of Kulasa Mathsaya 2023,
representatives are expected to present and showcase their chosen Mathematicians.
8. The contest will be judged based on the following criteria:

Criteria for Judging:


a. Characterization 30%
b. Delivery (Style, expression, 20%
projection, and voice projection)
c. Content/Speech 20%
d. Props and Costume 20%
e. Audience Impact 10%
TOTAL 100%

9. Winners will be ranked 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and minor awards such as Best in Costume and
Best Speech.
10. The winners will receive a medal, certificate, and a small token.
11. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.
