Celebration 2023-2024
The school will be celebrating its 15th Aralin Panlipunan Month
on (October 27, 2023) with the theme for UN Day 2023, “Equality,
Freedom and Justice for All”.

OBJECTIVES:
• To arouse the interests of students to participate actively in civic affairs
and in the promotion of the general welfare, particularly in the social, economic
and cultural development of the community toward the attainment of just,
compassionate and orderly society.
• To promote awareness and appreciation of the diverse culture of each
country members of the United Nation
• To instill the value of camaraderie and friendship through embracing the
differences of each culture.

Participants: Kinder-Grade 3

Flags of Nations
MECHANICS:
1. Each student will make a country flag of the United Nation.
2. Materials for the flag making competition can be anything around the house.
3. The participant can paint, draw, cut, do a mosaic, use recycled materials, etc.
4. The size of the flag should be 8.5 by 13 inches (Long Bond Paper).
5. On the day of submission, students will hang their flags on their classroom.
6. The winner of this competition will be announced on the big day celebration.
7. This activity will be part of Araling Panlipunan and MAPEH mini performance
task for the 2nd quarter.

Poster Making
MECHANICS:
1. The contest is open to ALL students.
2. Each participant should submit ONE entry only.
3. The poster must illustrate, interpret and emphasize the theme.
4. All artworks must be done on the spot and must be completed within the
allotted time of one (1) hour.
5. The student must provide his/her 1/8 illustration board, pencil, marker and
coloring materials.
6. The judges will choose the best entry for the said activity and will post it during
the culminating program.
7. The work of the contestant will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

2. The participants will be grouped into V.E.R.I.T.A.S with 7-9 members.
3. If one participant in a group failed to attend the contest, there will be no
substitute students given that all students are in their respective activities.
4. The quiz bee will still continue even if some participants are not present.
5. The mechanics will be read by the quiz master on the day of the competition.

Debate
MECHANICS:
1. There will be two teams per category.
2. The adviser will choose 1 representative per section that will join in the team for
debate.
3. The question for the debate will be read by the facilitator of the activity.
4. The moderator will call the two teams for a short meeting to present the
mechanics of the debate and giving them the idea and possible question
about the topic that they will dispute.
5. This activity aims to promote awareness to all of us about our perception
despite our culture differences and perspectives in life and that we have to respect
one another. In the end, the participants will become a good sport to each other.
Note: All are winners for this activity. Certificate will be given to all the
participants of the debate.

Windows of the World


MECHANICS:
1. Each class will have to pick the country that they will be portraying.
2. The selected country of each class should produce a creative and unique output
exhibiting the "country's finest" thru designing the bulletin board and acting, from
famous landmarks to its finest delicacies.
3. The students should be part of the live museum in order to maximize the use of
the students.
4. The prizes for the winner will be a trophy and certificates for the runner-ups,
given by the Supervising teacher of the Araling Panlipunan Club.

MECHANICS for CATEGORY A & B:
1. The contest is open for all who wants to represent their section for the United
Nations Awareness.
2. Participants will wear national costumes based on their preferred country.
3. The judges will choose one best costume per section. The chosen participant
will give short introduction such as name, their section, and the country he/she
represents.

1. Each section will choose two representative for the United Nations Awareness.

2. All participants will prepare costumes made in recyclable materials and based
on the country assigned to them.

3. Each participant will model the costume. He/she will also give short
introduction about the country and its important culture, tradition and values.

MECHANICS:
1. All section from grades 4-12 will be joining this activity.
2. Each section must be divided into teams, number of players depends on the
required number of representatives needed in each station.
3. Each team may start at any station but take note that the facilitators will allow
you to play the game if the opposing team came from the same department.
Example: Elem vs Elem, JHS vs JHS, SHS vs SHS
4. Each team will encounter several challenges every pit stop. They should answer
the questions or do the challenges in order to win and receive a ribbon.

5. Questions will come from subjects Philippine History, Asian Studies, World
History,
Economics, and Current Events.
6. The team who got as many ribbon as they can within 30 minutes will be hailed
as the Survivor of the Philippines: Dominican Edition 2.0! Champion.
7. The winners will receive utensils for cooking contest which are allowed by
Mathscie Moderators. 1st Place - Caserole
2nd Place – Uling
3rd Place – Slotted Turner
8. There will be assigned first aiders to asist the participants in case of emergency.
