Guidelines for Poster Making Contest

MECHANICS
1. The contest is open to all Junior and Senior High School students (Grade 7-12).
2. The poster must illustrate, interpret, and emphasize the theme which will revolve
around gender equality and inclusive society for women.
3. The posters will be drawn on a ⅛ illustration board. The board, as well as colorig
materials will be provided by the contestants.
4. Participants will be given one (1) hour and thirty (30) minutes to complete their
posters. The participants will be held accountable for any issues that may arise with
regards to the originality and authenticity of the design.

CRITERIA
The criteria for judging will be as follows:
Creativity and Presentation —————— 40%
Originality —————————————— 30%
Relevance to the theme ——————-—- 30%
100%he top three (3) posters will be
awarded with the following:
First place: Medal + Certificate + Token
Second place: Medal + Certificate
Third place: Medal + Certificate

Guidelines for Essay Writing Contest

MECHANICS
1. . The contest is open to all Junior and Senior High School students (Grade
7-12).
2. The essay must interpret and emphasize the theme which will revolve
around gender equality and inclusive society for women.
3. The contestants shall be given two (2) hours to develop the composition.
4. The contestants shall be provided with a pen and a long bondpaper marked
with the assigned number duly signed by the contest master. They are
prohibited to write their names and the Grade Level they are representing.
5. No printed materials, electronic gadgets, or storage devices shall be utilized.
6. The judges’ decision is final.
CRITERIA
Content (Relevance to the theme, Comprehensiveness, Originality, Insights) --- 50%
Relevance to the theme – connection, significance of the issue being discussed
Comprehensiveness – how complete and detailed the writer’s exposition of the topic.
Originality – uniqueness, novelty and authenticity of ideas
Insights – a fresh way of looking at things, critical view of the subject

Organization (Clarity of Thoughts, Creativity, Unity and Consistency) --- 30%

Clarity of Thoughts – use of simple and appropriate words to convey ideas or issues.
Creativity – the use of appropriate devices and expressions in the exposition of the subject.
Unity and Consistency – ability to highlight the focal point

Mechanics (Punctuation, Spelling, Capitalization, Grammar) --- 20%

    the correct use of punctuation, capitalization and grammar

Guidelines for Quiz Bee

1. The coverage of the quiz bee includes the following:

 -Current Issues
 -Asya Modyul 5: Mga Samahang Pangkababaihan at mga kalagayang
Panlipunan
 - Mga Kilalang Babae sa Pilipinas
 -Mga Kilalang Babae sa Asya
 -Importanteng Pangyayari n may kinalaman sa Kababaihan
 -Batas n naipatupad n may kinalaman sa kababaihan

2. It is open to all Grade Level from JHS and SHS and each grade level will have one
representative.

3. The contestant will write their answers in a small whiteboard or improvised white
board. This board will be provided by each contestant as well as the marker.

4. There will be three (3) components in the competition namely: EASY, AVERAGE,
AND DIFFICULT ROUND.

5. The questions will be read by the quizmaster twice.

6. After the second (2nd) reading, the Quizmaster shall say “go”, only then the
contestant be allowed to write their answers. Automatically, the (10) second time-limit
will begin with the word “go” by the Quizmaster.
7. After the time-limit, the constestants must stop writing and must raise their answer
boards.
8. The Quizmaster shall read and verify the groups answer.
9. The contestant who gets the highest number of points is automatically declared the
champion or the runner-up as the case may be.

The top three (3) winners will be awarded with the following:

First place: Medal + Certificate + Token

Second place: Medal + Certificate

Third place: Medal + Certificate
